People ask us this a lot, so here is the straight version.
Choose mulberry silk if…
- You wake up with creases on your face or frizz in your hair. Silk barely grips the skin, so it does neither.
- You run warm at night. Silk stays cool for longer than any natural fibre.
- You have curls or colour-treated hair — less friction means less breakage.
The trade-off: it needs a gentle cold wash in a bag, and it looks its best pressed.
Choose French flax linen if…
- You want something you can throw in the machine and forget.
- You like a lived-in, slightly rumpled look rather than a polished one.
- You are buying for a guest room, or for someone who will not follow care instructions.
Linen breathes beautifully and gets softer for years. It will not do the hair-and-skin trick that silk does.
Still not sure?
Silk for the sleeper who wants a functional upgrade; linen for the home that wants a softer, easier bed. Plenty of people keep silk on their own pillow and linen everywhere else.
